Igoris Zaripovas graduated from the Ballet Department of the National M.K. Čiurlionis School of Arts in 1995, and has been working with the Lithuanian National Opera and Ballet Theatre (LNOBT) ballet troupe since the same year. In 2004, he completed an internship at the Paris Conservatory with a scholarship from the Rudolf Nureyev Foundation. In 2005 and 2006, he studied at the Vilnius Dance Factory Summer Dance School. He completed his master’s degree in acting and dance specialization at the Lithuanian Academy of Music and Theatre in 2008.
He has performed leading roles in productions at the Vilnius Ballet Theatre, Anželika Cholina Dance Theatre, as well as in contemporary dance performances by Dovilė Petkūnaitė, Erikas Vizbaraitė, and Loretos Juodkaitė. In 2023, he began working as a ballet instructor at the M.K. Čiurlionis School of Arts. Since 2024, he has been working in the mime department as an assistant director, assistant, assistant choreographer, children’s dance instructor in the choir studio, dancer, and mime artist.
In 2005, he won the Chairman’s Prize from the Australian Ballet Society, and in 2006, the Konstantinas Stašys Prize.
He has toured with the LNOBT ballet troupe in Turkey, Japan, the Netherlands, Poland, Egypt, Greece, France, Germany, Italy, Spain, the United States, Russia, and others.
Some of his created roles include: the Witch, Dwarf (“Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs”), Russian dance soloist, Harlequin (“The Nutcracker”), Harlequin, Friend (“Venetian Carnival”), Puss in Boots (“Sleeping Beauty”), Dance Instructor, Pumpkin (“Cipollino”), Cat, Burglar (“Doctor Aisgud”), Page – friend (“The Red Giselle”), Toreadors (“Carmen”), Snake (“Eglė the Queen of Serpents”), Benvolio (“Romeo and Juliet”), Soloist (“Carmina Burana”), Soloist (“Falling Leaves”), Jester (“Swan Lake”), Baron (“Tristan and Isolde”), Court Jester (“Barbora Radvilaitė”), Dance Instructor (“Blue Danube”), Death (“Čiurlionis”), James (“La Sylphide”), Officer (“Carmen”), and others.
